BALANCE BASICS WORKSHOP MARCH 6

$20 Y-members; $30 Community
Advance registration required

Every year, one-third to one-half of the population aged 65 and older experience falls. Balance and fitness training can help prevent falls and improve overall quality of life at any age. This two-hour workshop will explore the principles of balance training. Exercise drills to help improve postural alignment, receptivity, mobility and stability will be explored and practiced. An exercise handout will be provided.

Instructor Carol Porter is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Correctional Exercise Specialist. Carol is also a certified Yoga teacher and has additional credentials in senior fitness, weight management and elite performance training.
