Founded in 1899 through an enthusiastic and resolute grassroots movement, the Ashland Family YMCA serves more than 8,000 members from Ashland and surrounding communities, uniting men, women and children of all ages, faiths, backgrounds, abilities and income levels. No child is turned away for inability to pay. Each year we award nearly $250,000 in scholarships for programs and memberships.

The Ashland Y is more than just a fitness center, a pool and a gym. It is a true community center, where children go to preschool, teens learn leadership skills and seniors participate in wellness programs. It is a place that nurtures spirit, mind and body, where fun, rewarding programs and activities build confidence, self-esteem and physical well-being.

The Ashland Family YMCA strengthens families, helping them develop stronger bonds, achieve greater work/life balance and become more engaged. The Y is a place to belong and to live the values that guide and unite our members: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Together, we make the community we love a healthier, safer, better place to live.
