Y Community Impacts

The Ashland Family YMCA has a history of community impact, which we’ve achieved by supporting positive change in the lives of individuals and families. Our commitment to well-being, inclusivity, and personal growth brings people together to thrive. Through diverse programming, we nurture youth development, promote health and fitness, and provide a welcoming environment for all.

In 2022, the Y provided more than $400,000 in financial assistance to people in our communities through membership, programs, and outreach. With over 8,000 members, the Y impacts thousands of lives every day. We provided high-quality affordable childcare to working families serving over 230 children. We provided over 1,500 summer camp experiences. Over 675 teen members met with friends at the Y to shoot hoops, lift weights, swim, volunteer, and receive job skills training and employment in a safe and wholesome environment. Over 1,900 youth learned sportsmanship, developed skills and healthy habits, and made friends while never having to be a benchwarmer. Adults and seniors benefited from countless hours and classes of safe exercise opportunities inside, outdoors, virtually, and in the water, building healthier bodies while also forming friendships and combating isolation.
